Questions about preventative maintenance?

How much does an HVAC maintenance plan cost?

The Essential plan is $230/year and includes an AC tune-up and a furnace tune-up each year plus repair discounts. The Smart plan is $17/month with a one-time $100 install fee, and adds smart sensors, monthly health reports, Comfort Credits ($150 sign-up bonus + $5/month), and app access. Both include priority scheduling and 10% off repairs.

What's included in an HVAC tune-up?

A professional tune-up includes inspecting and cleaning components, checking refrigerant levels (AC), testing safety controls, verifying proper airflow, lubricating moving parts, and checking electrical connections. For furnaces, we also inspect the heat exchanger and test for carbon monoxide.

How often should I have my HVAC system serviced?

We recommend two tune-ups per year: one for your AC in the spring before cooling season, and one for your furnace in the fall before heating season. This schedule catches issues before peak demand when breakdowns are most likely.

Is preventive maintenance really worth it?

Yes. Studies show regular HVAC maintenance prevents up to 95% of breakdowns, extends equipment life by 5-10 years, and reduces energy bills by 15-25%. A $230/year plan typically saves $500+ in avoided repairs and lower utility bills.

Do I need a maintenance plan if my system is new?

Especially if your system is new. Most manufacturer warranties require proof of annual professional maintenance to remain valid. Our maintenance plans keep your warranty intact and help your new system last as long as possible.
